    Tom Mison was born on 23rd July 1982, in Woking, Surrey. He studied drama and music at Hurtwood House and later took classes at the Webber-Douglas Academy from 2001-04. He also won the Sir John Gielgud Trust Award in the school. 

    In 2001, Tom also joined the American Conservatory Theater's Young Conservatory program. 

    He briefly involved in theatre and became part of a wide range of productions. He appeared in When the Rain Stops Falling at the Almeida Theatre and Posh at the Royal Court Theatre.

    In the next few years, the actor worked in TV shows, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Lost in Austen, and Agatha Christie's Poirot. He made a break when he portrayed Potty Perowne, erstwhile lover of Sylvia Tietjens in Parade's End in 2012.

    Tom gained worldwide fame after playing Ichabod Crane in a supernatural drama TV series Sleepy Hollow. He appeared in the show from 2013-17 along with Nicole Beharie, Orlando Jones, and Katia Winter.
