    Former professional football player and television sportscaster Troy Aikman gained his fame from being the host on Fox Network.  He played as a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. He appeared in television shows, including NFL on Fox, NFL Thursday Night Football, and Mike & Mike. For his work, he was nominated for four Sports Emmy Awards.

    Troy Aikman was born on 21st November 1966 in West Covina, California, United States. He holds the American nationality and belongs to white ethnicity. 

    He is the youngest son of Kenneth Aikman(father) and Charlyn Aikman (mother). He, along with his parent, moved to Henryetta, Oklahoma, at the age of 12. He grew with his two elder sisters.

    Troy went to Henryetta High School. While he was in high school, he won a school state championship in Typing. He attended the University of Oklahoma and later transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles.  He started his career as a football player from the University. 

    Career As A Quarterback For Dallas Cowboys

    The 6 feet 4 inches tall player started his professional football quarterback career from the Dallas Cowboys. He was first picked in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. The owner of Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones replaced him with Jimmy Johnson on 25th February 1989.

    Tory made his game debut from the NFL preseason game on 26th August 1989 against the Denver Broncos. He led his Dallas Cowboys for three Super Bowl victories and was the MVP of Super Bowl XXVII.

    From his career, he enlisted his name in Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and College Football Hall of Fame on 9th December 2008. The quarterback player got retired from football in 2000.

    After his retirement, he joined as a television sportscaster for the Fox Network in 2001 season as a commentator. The following year, he worked as a leading announcer along with the crew Joe Buck and Cris Collinsworth. For his work in Fox, he was nominated four times in Sports Emmy Awards.  

    He was also a former joint owner of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing team Hall of Fame Racing with Roger Staubach. Along with Hulk Hogan, he is a co-spokesman for Rent-a-center.
